Rules and Regulations

  1. The Parti Poodle Club reserves the right to refuse entries.
  2. Your dog must be kept under control and have a collar with a buckle and identity disc, with a nylon, vinyl or leather leash up to 6ft (2m). Extendable and chain leashes are not permitted.
  3. It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog is available for judging when required.
  4. The judge’s decision is final.
  5. Your dog must be a pure-bred poodle, KC Breed Registered or Parti Poodle Club registered.  Merle colours are not permitted as Merle colouring denotes a past breeding with a non-poodle.
  6. On the date of the show, your dog should be up-to-date with vaccinations or Titer Tests against highly contagious diseases. You need to send proof of your dog’s vaccination records via email to  Your dog will not be able to participate unless this is provided.
  7. On the show date, your dog should NOT have, (nor recently had), fleas, diarrhoea, kennel cough or any type of infectious disease that could be circulated to other participating dogs.
  8. Please ensure your dog has gone to the bathroom outside before class.  You are responsible for cleaning up all waste. ‘Bag it and Bin it’.
  9. Aggressive dogs are not permitted for the safety of other participants.
  10. All reasonable steps will be made to ensure your safety.  Please understand that there may be inherent risks to participating in the PPC Dog Show outside of our control. The PPC cannot be held responsible for any injury to yourself or your dog as a result of your participation in the PPC Dog Show.

NO DOGS TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN UNVENTILATED VEHICLES.  In hot or even warm weather please do not leave any dogs unattended in your vehicle unless you can guarantee that sufficient ventilation is available to ensure they cannot overheat.   Throughout the show, keep your dog in the shade and always have plenty of drinking water available for your dog to drink to maintain hydration.

Avoid taking part in unnecessary exertion or standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time.  If you feel hot then your dog will feel much hotter.  Please look after your dog’s welfare.

Please also be advised, if your dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused.
